This matching numbers 1969 Triumph Trident T150 US Spec 'Beauty Kit' is a project bike. The bike has a bent crank caused by a failed primary chain. It came to us looking like the chain had caught and shattered the inner primary and in doing so caused the end of the crank to bend. Everything in the primary side has been replaced and the engine turns fine with good compression on 3 cylinders. All gears are there. The bend seems to be from the outside of the crankcase as it was only noticeable with the primary chain on and finding it tight and loose on rotation. Cases are fine. We believe the 9252 miles to be genuine and the bores still show hones marks.
The bike itself has sat around for a number of years after the incident and we purchased it off a seller that found it in the back of an old motorcycle shop. Most of the bolts and areas of concern for potential corrosion has a wax spray on them which can easily be cleaned/wiped off. Everything seems to be there right down to the very hard to find Clear Hooter Wind Tone Horns
We are including a good second hand crank with journals all on standard and no re-grind needed. We don't have the time to complete this project so it's perfect for someone willing to do this in their own time. Once the necessary repair has been completed the bike itself will need a good tidy up or just ride as is if you're not fussy. It will need two new tyres, battery, the carbs could do with a clean out and numerous other small items. All the major stuff is there. New clutch cable included.
All the import documents are included for you to VIN and register the bike so no dramas there. Our loss is your gain on this project and it's hard to find a genuine US spec early Trident let alone one with such low miles.
