barn find 1975 Triumph Trident T160 this bike has been off the road
since the early 90's. We imported it and bought it back to life. It has
done only a genuine 7000 miles since new. It's matching numbers and is
in extremely original condition still running on points ignition. It's
electric start and this is working fine. Triumph T160's are getting
harder to find these days especially in such original condition.
We've
done a bit of work to bring it back to life including a brand new
wiring harness, ignition barrel, tyres plus much more. The brakes were
seized from sitting around so these were overhauled and parts replaced
where necessary. The starter motor was stripped and cleaned out and is working fine. The points were replaced with a new Tri-Spark electronic ignition system, this included new coils and HT leads. The Outer gearbox internals were also replaced with new springs and plates as the originals were suffering from a little bit of corrosion.
