This
is a ex-USA Matching Numbers Norton Atlas 750. Manufactured in 1967 it is the second to last year of the Atlas production. Similar to it's stablemate the 650SS but with bigger bores (650 vs 750) amongst other things, the Atlas does have slightly more vibration at higher revs. While they both have similar top speeds the mid range torque of the Atlas is said to be superior.
This has had a fresh full engine rebuild with receipts of the work done (there was a lot!). It's ready for the new owner to run in. Not immaculate but tidy. Gearbox and engine good with low miles. Nice easy clutch. The rest of the bike has had a refurbishment, it's not a show piece but a good solid looking bike. Lots of new parts as listed below. The Amal carbs have been overhauled. Have given the tank a fresh paint job in the earlier Atlas silver colour scheme. It's British, it does leak. Have installed an oil switch which is wired into the ignition system, this prevents wet-sumping and also means the bike cannot be started with it switch off.
A good solid survivor that turns heads. New owner will do the running in.
